What is the correct way of tying a stock so that the knot and ends sit straight?? mines always ends up sitting funny.

buy ready tied but dont do what I did and take it out of the packet the wrong way and end up with it untied and unable to work out what I did to it, then through it in a drawer never to be used. ;D

Yeah, good link. That's exactly how you do it! Except they forget the 2 extra safety pins to pin the tails down so they don't fly out of your jacket half way round. Please not ready tied - they're mingin'

It still take me ages to tie the stock and thats even following the instructions with pictures. But it is nicer than the ready tied ones.

I'l have to practice but i do have a ready tied one but it is a support stock that i used when doing XC it isn't very nice but really supports your neck - think it is made by Rodney Powel i also used it when Fred was younger and stroppy i wore it every time i rode him as i had whiplash with the bucking he did and it really helped.

i never untie my stock as have no idea how to re-tie them again me and mum had a lot of arguements when we first got it so have found its less hassel and quicker to leave it tied ;D
