Argh dont get me started I have phone bd and complained that they have not got their finger out and treated us in Scotland as second rate dressage peeps . I also said there were lots of venues and they were at it BIG time. I will not have been a big % person, I was 69% mark but i said since it was there fault we should get an automatic wildcard into the summer regionals, they are away to think about it.Also I said keeping your horse going over the winter in Scotland is a huge differnce to keeping it going down south and they have just wasted all my 6:30am morning of lunging and riding. THEN I get a call tonight from a wee birdie to say its on next weekend at Ingliston house, funny taht they can find a venue now.

Jill Grant has been working her socks off for the last two days to get BD to agree to the change of venue. If it had been up to the original organisers then it would have remained cancelled. Jill only got final agreement from them at 19.30 tonight.

I dont think they were even trying that hard to find another venue! They should have changed it ages ago when they frist heard of the strangles, Poor Jill, so much stress for her! Rather her than me!

Glad it's all back on - Lesley are you coming up then this weekend?
I'm not sure whether it was rank stupidity or sheer laziness that BD didn't find a back up venue when the first case was raised - there was always a strong liklihood of more cases of strangles occurring over the duration of a few months - it's not like it was hushed up by the venue.
I think perhaps a nice letter thanking Jill etc for their efforts in H&H, Scottish Equestrian once the dust has settled & it's actually taken place would be in order.
