DABBS EQUESTRIAN Written by Administrator Wednesday, 31 January 2007 All affiliated competitions at Dabbs, including the February one, are cancelled. The Shearwater Qualifier which was scheduled for May will be reallocated to other venue. Not looking like Dabbs wants to run dressage then

Dabbs new website is dabbsarena.com - not that it is much more help.
Also the Dressage is back on according to Dressage Scotland, don't think I'm going to risk it though as they cancelled the last one.
Slightly off topic though does anyone know when the 2nd round of Trailblazers will be? Qual for Prelin and Nov, can only do Nov now as finally got my first points (only goal of 2006 sorted 16th Dec)
Does anyone else get fed up of the long down to Rowallan for Dressage, can't wait until Oatridge gets going.

I did see that Lesley Bain will be running it as an outside hire but he was the guy who messed up m,y last comp and points at Dabbs. 11 phone calls later and a call to BD and I was sorted. So I wont be hurrying back to Dabbs either. I went to see Rowallan but have not competed there as I prefer to go to Aberdeen from me and the peeeps are lovely there. Well done getting your forst point. As to your question, sorry I have no idea as I think the trailblazers thing is good if you are down south but not if you are up here

I qualified for the trailblazers final a couple of years ago and nearly fainted when the schedule arrived. The entry fees were pretty stiff then and it has gone up significantly since then. A friend of mine reckoned she would be nearly £200 for her two classes and a stable then had travelling costs on top!!! This for a competition that is supposed to be aimed at amateurs to give us a chance at a nationals!!
That was part of the reason for the launch of the Saltire last year - they used to hold qualifiers and were horrified at the costs for those that made the journey south.
Oh, hark at me!! Sorry to sound so negative. Apart from Rowallan I am not sure who else is holding 2nd round stuff.
Good luck though if you do go!

I do wonder whats going on at Dabbs as the show on Sun the 10th was supposed to go ahead but
this is from the Scottish Dressage site DABBS EQUESTRIAN - 9th/10th February Written by Administrator Thursday, 08 February 2007 DESPITE ALL THE EFFORTS THAT WERE MADE TO GET DABBS UP AND RUNNING FOR 9TH/10TH FEBRUARY, Dabbs has unfortunately fallen victim to bad weather and as a result has had to cancel. Many apologies for all the staff at Dabbs.
this is from Dabbs site
Dressage At Dabbs Please note that Leslie Bain will no longer have anything to do with the running of dressage at Dabbs. Please contact the show office on 01337 831 244 for information regarding any forthcoming event.
Seems all a bit iffy
