I am not sure what I am doing with Somerled this year. We went through a really sticky time last summer, I lost direction with my training & our scores just got lower and lower. But, recently, I started to get my head around the feel I was after, I got him shod (he has been barefoot in the past) & I got drop panels fitted to his saddle (since he sprung a wither now he is 7!) and I think he is going much better, so I am going to do my first unafil Elementary on him at GDG/Fountain in Feb, so that could make or break us ;D As far as affiliated goes, well he has just started doing well at Novices (got 65% in N30 last month), so if this continues at Affil shows through spring then I will affiliate him. But I do want him to be getting consistent scores over 60% in unafil sections of affiliated classes (so I get affil. judge) before I pay out anymore more subs! Ithel is to be aimed at affiliated Prelims from April onwards. I just need to take on more websites to help pay for all the entry fees!!! or take up washing cars

i'm hoping to carry on with aff elems - just don't see the point in entering anything in jan-feb just incase the weather turns hence the jumping at the moment - i see in the bd mag that gingerfilly is holding an aff combined training so will drop back to prelim for that!! and might have a go at the novice but think jumps are about 3' so will see how we are getting on by then.

Good luck all you good people with your affiliating; I'll just be so glad to get back on - eventually! I'm not even thinking about affiliating unless we start getting regular good percentages; my goal for this year is to stay above 60% lol .

I feel more money being spent - would like to do some CT with Magnus so maybe I'll bite the bullet & affiliate sooner rather than later - problem is there are so many clashes with shows, dressage & SERC that I just can't fit it all in, spec with hubby working offshore.
I think I need an au pair (mind you, I was saying that years ago before we got Magnus).

Well I bottled out of my dressage debut... Think I need someone to give me a bit of a kick and a prod to get me in that zone. Really want to try it but am just being a wimp... Can manage to hare around a cross country course though. But then you dont need to look pretty to do that eh??
