Right im sure someone will manage to do this better than me but here goes.
You might need a good map of the north east to follow this ;D
Head North out of Aberdeen towards Ellon, down the two dual carriageways. When you get to the roundabout at the end tur left into Ellon, go right through Ellon straight over the roundabout and past the highschool, then left at the T junction, out towards Auchnagatt, just stay on this road and follow it through Auchnagatt. As you come out of Auchnagatt about 4 miles down the road, it starts to straighten up and oyu go ever so slightly uphill, at the top theres a right hand turnoff to "Maud" take the first RIGHT after this, onto a singal coutnry road (dont worry not very long) follow this to the crossroad, take a left then about half a mile down the road just in the trees take a right and thats the showground, cant miss it.
Other route, is to go to Mintlaw, then down the a950, then left towards NewDeer about 8/9 miles out of Mintlaw, then follow that road then right at the crossroads then first right is the showground, if its for Newdeer show theres always traffic cones etc out.
All in all youre about 30miles north of Aberdeen to Newdeer give or take a few miles. Hope that makes some sense, im sure someone will be a bit clearer.

another way - head for Fountian (Goval) pass it heading for Newmachar, straight through Newmachar to Oldmeldrum - take a right as you head out of Oldmeldrum (sign Fraserburgh) stay on that road you come to Methlick (down a hill) turn left (at the garage) round a sharp right turn over a bridge and up the hill stay on this road and it will take you to New Deer - the showground is straight at the crossroads (another steep hill to and from!) round a bad corner to the left (don't turn up towards the shops), then the showground is on your left jus as you come out of New Deer - I would go this way if I was coming from Aberdeen but the other way is correct as well.
