My mare cribs badly and I have started using one on my her along with NAF relax to help settle her as well. Just wondering if any of you guys have used one and did it help in the long run?

Never used a collar for a cribber But isn't cribbing now being associated with stomach problems I'm sure I read it somewhere that cribbers may benefit from an ant-acid

Yes you are right it can be associated with stomach upsets hence she is on NAF relax which contains a chalk substance to reduce acid build up, as well as a calmer as she was very tense when she had the collar on for the first few days, but is fine with it now.
I decided on the collar as her habit was starting to affecy her ridden work and she would not settle in her head carriage and was very inconsistant. But now she is going like a dream. I wondered wether they try and crib or do something sismilar even with a bit in, as the change in her ridden work has been amazing.

Quick update
She has been wearing it for almost 4 weeks now and although she will still crib when I take it off to groom her and ride her she is more settled. Would really reccommend the NAF relax as it made a huge difference really quickly, and stopped her being so tense.
Her neck muscles have started to become flabby underneath, so I suppose that is a good sign that she has not been doing it half as much. I have had to put her on ALfa a though as she lost a bit of condition, but then in her eyes her wold has just been torn apart!!
On the whole she has perked up and is nearlly back to her old self, think she might be begining to forgive me!
