i bought one of these to do madams tail, and i have to say im impressed, it really looks pulled compared to the slightly razored effect i got when using a stripping comb. ;D i value life too much to attempt pulling the traditional way will try and get pics if anyone interested deano.

CAn you use it to shorten manes too?? yes, according to instructions, you can use it to shorten and thin mane's and forelocks. iv'e not tried though cause madam lets me do her mane with a pulling comb . deano.

Mine dont like me going anywhere near her with any form of sharp object, hence she has the mane of a native at the moment as I just cant face an afternoon of arguments with her.
Is it quite quiet, ie does not make any noisy chopping sounds like a solo comb? And yet another question do you mind me asking where you can buy them?

this will give you an idea, but is not the finished article, because i have not managed to do nearly enough bandaging (which is the secret of a decent pulled tail ). its the closest thing to a pulled effect i have seen, but if i had a younger horse who would tolerate it i would pull it the traditional way

Looks good to me, very similar to if you had done it the "traditional" way, except not nearly as bald!!!!

looks good to me too! - Jessie won't let me near Fred's mane or tail with sissors or pulling comb - so much so she has nicked my solo comb!!!

Actually, that looks pretty good - somebody posted pics in the other place of a tail done with the Supreme one, which looked a bit, well...cut.
The brat is not keen on pulling of any sort - in fairness, it's her only quirk thus far - and I'm sorely tempted to go with something like that. I hate solocombs, but it's the only thing we've found to do her mane...

Until her other mother had Auntie hannah hold on to her and I whipped out the mane quickly. She was fine!
