I would also recommend Ayrshire Horse Transport - have heard first hand positive reports of their service

I know I've already posted but having finally done the scary journey bringing my mare and never travelled foal back up from Lincs can I recommend Steven from Tugs transport again?!
Coped admirably with the worried mother (me!) and was patient with the grumpy loader (mare!). Mercalli travelled SO WELL, not even warm or showing any signs of stress (unlike me!). Very pleased how it all went and now not worrying (much) about next time he travels which hopefully if he passes his inspection will be NPS Youngstock in November.
Good experience all round ;D

Definately recommend Gordon Hamilton, don`t use gillies anymore as Gordons prices are far cheaper plus he supplies haylage on route unlike gillies, he also has plenty rest periods, clean roomy lorry and good horse handler.

A couple of members have already mentioned Ayrshire Horse Transport, based in Kilmarnock.
I would also recommend them after having had a foal picked up by them for a client.
Number is 01294 850271. ;D

I can highly recommend Boothroyden transport, very reasonably priced, excellent communication (can phone driver anytime for travelling update he also phones you when he stops), horses are videoed at all times and very willing to show you, very experienced at travelling stallions and all round very happy with service. I lost confidence in other transport companies due to a bad experience. But they regained my faith!! ;D

Eric Gillie is good but I also like Gavin Jamieson www.gavinjamieson.co.uk. Have used him a few times now & always been very happy with how the ponies are treated & looked after
