Today Madge got her first tail wash of the year Dunked her manky tail in a bucket of clean water, the water ended up looking like syrup How on earth does her wee tail get so sh*tty

It must have been the day for it Lav. I washed two tails today - Polly's and Amy's. Amy was actually very affectionate - maybe this having a baby lark is working

Yes got that joy on Saturday, Flash's tail hasn't been washed since September - and it looks it too! Gonna be lots of buckets of soapy water....

My lot have barely had a brush to their tails so far this year never mind a bucket of soapy water Mind you after having a foal that scoured a lot last year I can't say tail washing is one of my favourite tasks now.

Neither of mine look any better, Jill :-( In fact I HATE the start of the show season. That first bath's absolutely murder!

I cold hosed Comet's legs and tummy this afternoon. He's now a clean(ish), but not terribly amused, Highland

*shivers* You've just put me off hairies again I've made a start on Madge's mane now, pulling a little each night, until she gets fed up It's starting to take shape ;D When the mane is pulled, I'll start thinning her tail, until it sits in a nice point just below the hocks ;D Then we will be ready to rock and roll to the shows
