We've no snow with us, but sounds as though it is quite bad further up the coast. So no Spring Show for us either tomorrow Complete waste of time yesterday getting pony clean and ready, but haven't bothered this afternoon, I am not venturing out on snowy roads with ponies.

The weather forecast I saw last night indicated that it would continue to be snowy, icy and very cold all this week

agree with you lochlands but there will be a fair few who will venture out...is a rosette worth it ?

No I dont think a rossette is worth an accident on snowy roads, but as you say there will no doubt be others who dont think about their own and horses safety.
I know no one else would want my cargo, but to me they are very precious, I would never forgive myself if something went wrong. Transporting equines is stressful enough without venturing out, when common sense dictates you should be staying at home.

S'no snow here yet. It is pretty cold though. I changed Aaron's rug to a MW after the clinic on Saturday - changed it back over yesterday.....and then took pity on my pregnant mare and put a rug on her too (well it's either that, or have to feed her more when it gets colder!)

And so the snow continues just had a REALLY heavy blizzard I think some people lost sight of the point of showing - is it fiar on you or your horse to go out just for the sake of being entered, when the roads are dreadful, and both of you will be so cold when you get there that your horse looks miserable? I've decided no showing unless its going to be FUN for horsey and me Deano - if its like this tomorrow DO NOT ATTEMPT the roads, you know how good they are at gritting ...no bother to do madam for you ;D
