I absolutely agree that we need to honour everyone's right to anonymity. I also think that sometimes people say things on the pc/via text etc that they wouldn't necessarily say if they were face to face with someone. Perhaps it's good to keep this in mind. Sorry if I appear to be preaching - must have my mummy hat well and truly on tonight ;D

And I'm used to getting called Lav in real life Know that one ... except I get called Smokey LOL When I call my online buddy in Ireland and her OH answers the phone I get a gruff "hold on" then followed by a "oi it's Smokey on the phone!" LOL

Just as a warning to be careful I read an article today about Forums & Social Networking sites - apparently it has become quite common for employers to check out this kind of site. They are looking for anything from falsification of C.V.s to skivving and slagging off staff/bosses & can lead to disciplinary action. Also be careful re birthdays and your proper name and your job as some ID theft/ fraud has been committed with this kind of info. I have very recently had a fraudulent attempt made against me and can say its one of the creepiest things - so really look after your details. There are a lot of freaks out there who just lurk & read what is written!
