When you have a Pelham on always, always, ALWAYS use 2 reins! Never just one and most certainly not one on the curb rein only.
I'd say he is more of a riding horse than anything else.

I've removed that picture as I'm well aware it wasn't a good example x What should I wear for riding horse ? Hacking jacket or navy or black and also which browband for Tobes ?

How big is he? From those pictures he looks more of a riding horse. Have you any side on pictures to see his conformation and build? How does he move? Is he quite extravagant or more workman like to perhaps fall into a hunter category? The photo of you in hand looks okay whilst your just starting out but for riding horse classes tweed jacket, beige/canary jods, navy hat, brown leather gloves and cane Browband wise if your horse is a riding horse type he would be best with a browband that's going to lift his head. Nice reds, gold, and blues would look nice on him, try to steer away from anything with too much white or silver. Thicker than you have in the pictures and with a flat hunter noseband not a drop, but if he is more of a hunter then a plain flat browband is the way to go. Difficult to tell his build from those photos though

Thanks so much Rosebud, he is 15'1 and quite chunky with a lot of bone for a TB , I wouldn't say he's an extravagant mover. He has a lot of attitude and doesn't enjoy flat work but unfortunately for him I quite like showing and don't always want to be just show jumping (we are both quite good at that ). I'll try and attach a couple of pictures of him side on for you. Really appreciate your help x

He looks a nice type not a hack, but either small riding horse or small Hunter. Try both and see how you get on, a lot of the time the difference between the 2 is moment abs way of going which we can't see from pics abs also the sort of ride he gives. Turn out the same for you for either class, tweed. And for him a coloured/blingy browband for riding horse but plain for Hunter. And if course the ex racer classes when you turn out to type so either of the above would suit Good luck and let us know how you get on
