Hi everyone just a quick introduction. We have moved from Yorkshire to Scotland ( between Fochabers and Keith) complete with 4 horses and ponies, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 daughter and 1 husband! Luckily daughter and hubby horsey too! Our equine family members are Spice, our 14 year old TBxCleveland Bay Magnum, who is 10 and is niece to Spice, although to look at them you would never guess! Bechan Bill aka Zak, our 14.2hh sec D, and Merrick Debonair, aka Thumper, our home bred sec C. I committed the cardinal sin of putting a sec D to my sec B mare to breed a sec C and it worked! Because of work commitments mtge only one out last year was Thumper to 2 intro A and B dressage tests which he won, as a preparation for showing this season. Zak also shows, the big girls do dressage. I would love to hear from anyone in the area or hear of anything on in the area from Spring. Thanks guys!

Welcome! There are lot of " northerners" on here, so you are not alone Shows will soon be upon us, there is the Aberdeen Spring Show at Inverurie ( Inhand only) at the end of February. I run a show at Fountain (Aberdeen) in February with Inhand and ridden and there is a RC winter woollies show at Fountain in March

Thanks- it gives us some ideas what to aim for although Winter Woolies would be better named "mammoth Woolies" with the 2 Welshies, they are so fluffy! Take rugs off and they are sleek and shiny, with huge fluffy necks and better facial hair than Santa! They are living out until we get some stables up so nothing will change for a while yet- it has cost us a fortune just doing the yard entrance never mind starting on the yard and house build ( in about 2030 probably!!) Just glad to be here, it was a long awaited dream and took a lot of guts packing in 2 jobs and moving 400 miles, but every day I look out across the stunning scenery that our field (and future house) overlooks I know we did the right thing.

I am completely computer illiterate but will try to get my dear hubbie to post a couple-will put Sunday Best ones on though they are a complete disgrace at the moment. We were worried about them keeping weight on but they are all far too fat and no hay yet! Watch this space!
