It is times like this I am not so sure it is such a good idea living in the top of a hill! No electric, no landline and old pantile roofs leaking like sieves Seriously wild out there so I am hiding in my freezing cold, all electric house and can't even light the fire as it had a back boiler and with no electric to pump the water round the radiators it would blow up! They say it will calm down by midday, so will go and survey the damage then and mop up the mess Hope all you lot and your ponies are safe and sound

We have no electricity - fortunately have a wood burning Rayburn linked to water tank so had a bath this morning - and at least I can boil a kettle for coffee as well. However I have lost half the roof of my new hay shed, ho hum - I lost the whole shed last year and it had taken off across the yard so improvement on that at least Currently at my desk where all facilities are available. New pup was totally overawed by the wind and rain tickling him this morning which was highly entertaining. Hope everyone is safe and well and not too much damage done.

It was bad this morning but much more settled now but very cold. No damage here and ponies fine but trailer trip with friend to blyth bridge was obviously cancelled. Thursday was the only day we could do this week- typical. Although not been to bad till now for this time of year.

We have a tree down at the ponies. Its snapped half way down the trunk. Thankfully it has just brushed the side of my shed and not caused any damage.
Went down to Biggar this avo pony visiting but no pony playing as the weather is so bad, all having duvet days. There are so many big trees down on the way.
Its freezing now, very worried about how it will be in the morning!

No tv so just catching up on news app looks really bad in places, think that's it over for us. . . . phew, hate the wind.
