Soooooooooo When do you put yours up?? We are traditionalists and go with 12 days before, 12 days after. It seems more and more people stick them up at the beginning of December and pull them down before Hogmany - I don't approve!! I get particularly annoyed when folk say that they are doing it for the kids....... I was a kid once and still got excited when it came to putting them up 12 days before, sitting working out when we could start! I don't mind the shops putting them up at the start of December as it does make me feel a little more festive and help with the mood when shopping

Not putting mine up this year, going to be at Olympia and then my parents from the 17th till the 29th so it seems a bit pointless. Sad though as my flat won't look very festive

Well I shall annoy you as I will put them up either on sun or just after, for the kids. If it was just me and oh then I would not bother putting much up and his xmas dinner would be beans on toast. But now I make loads of effort for the kids and actually enjoy it now .

We will probably only put them up the week before and keep them up til the 12th day after.
Our head office at work are keen to get them up soon, but I've put a few up outside and we're hanging off until the beginning of the month.
I also like to put some tinsel and baubles in the tack room at the yard!

I didn't know about the 12 days before thing .... doesn't usually effect me as I have a real tree and if I put up any earlier than that it would be a dead twig by Christmas. I do observe the 12th day AFTER to have all decorations down
