We have always had working dogs, but nearly 3 years ago I got my own dog to train, I chose a working cocker. We work in the beating line, pick up at ducks ventured into Working Test competition in June. He has given me so much fun and entertainment, he has 100% work ethic, is a comedian, companion and best pal to me. Red - this pic. is from January this year

Left to right - Rip my terrier who will be 14 in March. Bruce, Morse and Jet - sadly Jet went to heaven a couple of months ago, he was 13 and was OHs constant companion and working dog, he was devastated - but it was time, Jets arthritis was needing more and more meds and his quality of life was not good, he is buried in the garden and every morning when I open the blinds I know he is there, and that makes me smile - he was such a special dog, huge old fashioned lad brilliant at his job and so gentle and kind. I also have a rescue working cocker - Daisy who is a little gem and I have her working nicely now and our new pup will be here in 4 weeks - another black lab :-)

What a handsome group they are. I would love a black lab! But I don't think my cats would particularly approve.
