I am trying to decide which tweed to show George with next year, I want a different one to the one I show Ted with as I bought that one with only Ted in mind, so I would like a different tweed for showing George. I do not want a green tweed as I find they do not suit me. I bought my current one from here www.mrscandy.co.uk/gold/01_tweed_jacket.htmlAnd it is the tasha. I quite like the Lucinda but it is a bit garish, what are peoples thoughts? These are the new ones from this year www.mrscandy.co.uk/gold/2013_tweeds.htmlThanks I am terrible with decisions like this...

There are lots of nice ones there to choose from. I would consider which one would match the horse or pony you will be riding and try. If it was me i would also consider one that you dont see too many others wearing.

I know what you mean luckystrike, George is black but I will not be riding him yet... Its for inhand and then will be for ridden. He is really quite plain a black RID the only markings are a couple of socks, which makes me think jazzier might work? I plan to take him to hunter and RID classes at the moment.

Id go for one of the bottom 2 on left with red through them and wear a red tie with it. Will look good in pics when you have all your red rosettes on ;-)

I'm with you in being rubbish at making decisions! What colour is your hat? As that would affect what colour you were looking at. Unless you are planning on getting a new hat too!

I have a brown hat, but not opposed to the idea of a new hat... Grey would be the only other real colour option I feel. Though his colour will be blue if I could work that into a tie it would be wonderful... I wish I could just buy all the tweeds and see how I feel on the day haha!

Its very hard to look at them on a website. Sometimes seeing them in the flesh makes it easier to decide!

I know Jeni But I cannot go visiting her, I did decide the tasha through the website... Starting to debate about grey, but would it be too washed out on a black?! As then the cristabelle would work quite nicely with the blue through it... Hmm...

Whatever colour of tweed you choose, apparently you should always wear a red tie - to go with the red rosette the judge will want to give you. Red lippy too! I must admit, I am not as conventional as I probably should be as I usually wear a blue tweed to show my Highland gelding these days. I think most folks would stick with brown or green based tweeds but I think the navy shows up his colour better as he has greyed out now to the extent that he is almost white. It didn't stop him winning his first ridden championship two years ago when I first started wearing it.

Personally I like the Katie and the lily. I try and avoid tweed (can get away with a show jacket for Arabs) mine makes me look really bulky maybe needs to be a better fit. Not much help for you. . .sorry.
