Hi all I may be an old hand with the cuddies but I now have 2 DD's and 2 NFP and the Daughters have an interest in showing. In which my knowledge is Nada. Looking for info on local shows so the calendar will be a great help but my problem is do NFP ever get placed ( except in WH) as the shows I've been at they don't seem to have much of a chance. i.e at a very small local show they thought our young grey chap was an underdeveloped Connie! They then guessed at Eriskay much to my 11yo's disgust (lol) Does any one show NFP in Central Scotland- I'm restricted to near home due to financial restraints!!! i.e. the aforementioned DD's! Hoping someone can give me the lowdown, even although I don't mind them going for the experience I'm sure the odd not being in last place may motivate better. Cheers for any input on this.

lol I assumed dear daughter from my pregnancy/infertility forums but then thought perhaps it was a breed but not sure what lol? But on reading the rest it definitely refers to the daughters lol x

Hello and welcome and also from a New Forest fan!! I love the breed. They are fantastic ponies. I att some photos of my boy, he never gets over looked in the ring so don't lose faith!! The right judge will know their stuff and judge accordingly to breed standards. Would love to see some photos of yours ;D. The first photo is of Button at the Highland last year. The second is him and myself at Equifest in the evening performance, he qualified in Aberdeen, and then at Equifest he went 2 out of 52, which qualified him for the evening!! ;D Also last year he was Champion M&M inhand and over all Champion M&M at Angus county and went res Supreme. This was mixed classes with Welsh A,B,C and D's, Connemara's, etc. New Forests can hold there own up here!! ;D So keep trying!

Thankyou! ;D I also love my Buttons!! He is a wee star, you wouldn't believe what he looked like a couple of years ago, a big fluffy, hairy, wild pony we picked up from the forest!! He has come a long way.

Hi all and thank you so much for all your encouragement.. yes to all those I confused ( apologies ) and woop woop to all the clever folk who guessed/ worked out correctly that DD is for darling/ dear daughters, lol.. been on short hand to long on some other forums. Loving the pictures that some of you have and when I get better at loading any pictures on hope to enclose a pic of the boys. ( 4 legged that is before I cause more confusion ) our chestnut may be better at workers as slightly long in the back re conformation and has a small soft tissue blemish on a hind leg. Our grey has a bit of filling out to do but has a more correct conformation and blemish free (Just now, touch wood)
