There are 3 Racer classes at Blair this year - the ROR ridden which anyone can enter provided the horse has raced and is registred with the ROR.
The other 2 classes are Ex-Racer Club classes which you had to qualify for - an In-hand and a Ridden. For these there were only 6 qualifiers in Scotland and there were all miles away from Blair itself so I can't see them getting many entries in those classes.

We took our ex-racer to Blair last year. Thoroughly enjoyed the day out and so did we! He had qualified for the ex-racers club in hand final which he placed in although there was confusion surrounding the winner that day who appeared not to have actually raced in his lifetime Different clubs have different rules . . . My OH also took the oppertunity whilst we were there to ride him in the ROR ridden qualifier for highland show. He didnt place this time but it was a great experience for the horse, the judge was only too happy to answer questions afterwards and worth it overall as our horse won Best Veteran of the day and we walked home with a large rosette and £30 in tesco vouchers Yes, its a long way to travel them for just one class but it is an awesome chance to ride at Blair and take home some lovely photos of the horses in front of the castle. And btw the classes were very well attended so a good level of competition.
