My cob Titus is the most lazy horse I have ever ridden so when in the ring I am kicking like mad to keep him going.i have normal length spurs at the moment but was thinking of trying the longer dressage type ones.Does anyone know if there is a legal spur length for showing.Don't want to get a set and be told to remove them in the ring lol.Any info greatly appreciated. ;D

I've just went through the BSHA rule book, all it says for spurs, is they should be worn along the seam of the boot, not pointing down. Nothing about the length of them!

Thanks lavender.looks like I can try longer ones.im finding it so hard riding such lazy horse and I've only got wee legs lol.Having gone from an Arab that seemed to know when I wanted her to go faster and a thoroughbred cross who just loved to jump and cross country it's a real shock having to kick like there is no tomorrow.

Beware I longer spurs as they can come into contact with the horse side very easily if you even slightly turn your toes out. This may deaden your horse further, better to stick with short spurs that sharpen the horse

Can't believe he's not got any better! When we had him he used to be perfect at home and then turn into a donkey at shows! How old is he now?
