What colour browband would you put on a grey horse? Gray is, strictly speaking, built like a Show Hack BUT he is 17hh so is in theory a Riding Horse. He will only be doing Racehorse classes due to his mahoosive bowed tendon. At the moment he is mostly white, a few pale brown fleabites and he still has some dappling on his legs, up the back of his quarters, pale dappling on his neck and he has a silver mane and tail. He has a very pretty, dainty head. Also what short of bridle should he go for? I think a flat noseband wouldn't look right on him but then neither would a dainty one?!? He has a few less dapples on his bum now than then but otherwise he is the same.

Red!!
With perhaps a gold and burgundy with it? Thats what my old grey used to wear.
Re bridle, flat noseband, not too thick but not too dainty either...Maybe an inch and a bit? If he is 17hh he needs to have a decent sized bridle on.
Good luck and have fun!

For my grey i really like using bright reds, brighter royals/navys and gold. Your best to stick to colours that are quite bold and stand out. Everyone has their own individual preference to the colours that they like but i tend to find that too much in the way of blues and silvers get lost on a grey. Have a look on my website in the Silverburn Models page and you will see photo's of several greys with the combinations that their owners have chosen or if your on facebook feel free to like my page (Silverburn Browbands) and there are hundreds of colourway samples and examples of browbands that might give you a bit of inspiration Re your bridle, a flat inch and a quarter noseband would look really nice on him, and ditto what Mojo has said, i wouldn't go too narrow in your leather thickness for your bridle either

RED!!! As Rosie says with gold/navy. Id think at 17hh he could get away with a decent width bridle and a 1 1/4 flat noseband
