It is usually a class description used by shows that don't have seperate classes for Hacks/Cobs/RHs/Hunters so that it covers everything
However I have known the ocassional show (usually agri show that dont know the horsey terminoligy) that say ridden rather than riding horse.
what else is in the schedule?

It just says ridden horse and doesnt state anything for type or turnout. Its for Titus who is turned out as a show cob and Im just trying to find other classes for him to do as well as cob and coloured classes PD.

I think these things can sometimes be a 'catch all' for horses that aren't a specific type, but if they don't specify in the schedule what can and cannot enter and he's a horse, and he's ridden, I don't see why you can't enter!

Cheers everyone and my thoughts were along the lines of "its a horse and its being ridden" too but didnt want to enter it and look like a dafty if hes meant to be in a flashy browband or plaited. Will watch out for more if these classes as its another one Titus could do then. ;D

My local show only has a ridden horse class but no other specific classes so anything and everything was in the class it was awful lol I have since tried to get the organisers to consider a hunter and riding horse class but to no avail

I would go for it, I've been to smaller shows that have had a ridden horse along with more specific classes. I did a few with my small hunter!

Ive done a ridden horse class with magic before. It was simply just its a horse and its being ridden! There were lots of types in the class and it was won by a beautiful little coloured cob. I had magic in it turned out as riding horse.
