a friend of mine has bought a highland foal and is planning on taking her out to the odd show next year just for experience and to let her see the world etc are filly yearling shown in a white halter or in hand bridle & bitted and i take it the handler is in trousers and tweed as per normal and any other tips i can pass on

Yearling fillies are shown in a white rope halter. The handler could wear trousers...or a kilt ;D

If your friend has internet access she could have a look at www.neshpes.co.uk were she will see some photos from our shows and events and get a feel for what people wear when showing highlands
