After my new venture into a smaller section of welsh , Im now thinking about getting a halter for my section a to start some showing. What kind of halter does everyone prefer? I always show the cobs in a plain rope one, but I notice lots of section a's in flat webbing ones and some plaited ones. Ive always thought the flat webbing ones pretty rubbish on a cob as they seem to slip and you dont get good grip.I wouldnt say she has a real typey pony head but shes not plain either. Thought a plaited one might look good on her as long as its not too bulky..heres a wee pic of her head. what do you think?

I always just showed mine in a wee plain leather in hand bridle. Suppose it depends what level you are showing at- I know white halters are more correct for welshies, but lots of people do use inhand bridles

I much prefer to see webbing halters on an A, I don't find them to be so tricky on smaller heads

Lynni, shes not bitted so for convience would rather use a halter. Thanks lav, i see most people use a webbing halter on the A's

show her in what flatters her head best, ignore what everyone else does , its not about fitting in, its about emphasising the very best points.
