I have a question for the welshie and highland owners. With normal bridles, everyone has the brands that they like and for other bits and pieces have the companies that they like using. Is this the same with the white halters? Do you all have a particular brand that you like, or where do you get them? Which are the best ones? Next question .... would you pay for and wear a blingy one for EP if you could get it?

I get mine made to order by John Helme at Colwyn Tack Centre. The other ones used by most welshy exhibitors are made by Plas Equestrian or the Welsh Cob shop which sells online and mainly through ebay. Personally I wouldnt use anything other than white. The plaited ones are expensive and cost £40+

I have just got one from Plas Equestrian. Nice white webbing one. Will need to have a go with him in it before we go to a show ! I can see its going to end up needing washed pretty much after each show as it will get grubby easily. Dont think I fancy the idea of a blingy one myself !

I wouldn't use anything else other than white either and certainly not one with bling on it for an evening performance

I use the cob shop and colwyn tack too. colwyn tack makes them to measure and theyre the best quality. after loads of washing they still look good and dont go all bobbley like the cheaper ones do. I would stick with white also and wouldnt use anything different, even for EP

Thanks for your answers everyone. I just wondered if it woud catch on having a white rope halter discretely decorated with crystals for EP but is surely wouldn't so will put that idea to the back of my mind again
