hello all! i am looking for recommendations for a clipper/trimmer to purchase this year? il not be doing big clips etc- just trimming heels/lugs/face for shows!!!! any suggestions of brands/models that you have found particularly good would be fabby!! PS on a similar thread-----i am new to showing & am seeing more competitors with tails that are "trimmed" & not plaited? is this type specific or choice (i have a spotty)----& how is this look achieved? thanks!!!!

If it's just for trimming what you say and not for clips, then cheapy hair trimmers from Tesco's, etc, are just as good as expensive horse ones! And if they break, they are cheap to replace

And if they break, they are cheap to replace Im with Lav on this....just buy cheaps human trimmers...you get plastic clip on attachments and a pair of scissors too

Lister pico trimmers are very good for young or nervous horses and are good for whiskers and small jobs around £10
