Hello, i was wondering what colour of tweed jacket would be best for a black Welsh cob? and also my welsh hates getting her mane pulled, does anyone have any suggestions on how to make it easier?

Don't know about the jacket, not a Welsh Cob person. As far as the mane is concerned we have a two year old that goes balistic if you try to pull her mane but is ok with a solo comb. Traditionalists please don't crucify me!!

Colour of tweed doesn't really matter, it's the fit that counts As for pulling the mane, backcombing, like you are going to pull and running a thinning knife down it works better than a solo comb (sorry Jimbo, they are the devils work ) ;D

I have heard some people use oil of cloves, as this numbs the horse, never tried it myself but you must use gloves to avoid numb fingers!! Sorry, I think a solo comb does look different, especially on a thick welsh mane
