Hi Well actually I have two but the first ones a cracker! Do they wear hoof oil.... Secondly, can someone define "discreet trimming" as my poor princess is in danger of being turned out as a hack! i'm a bit OTT with scissors

Hoof oil is allowed!
As regards to trimming, depends on the breed, for example a highland, trimming is a no-no, but a Welsh (although some will dis-agree!), then go for your life ;D

Thanks lav! I have a welsh sec a filly, be carefull telling me to go for it though, you've not seen what happens to me on a grooming spree!!
All I have trimmed is her beard but i've not taken it all off like i would a plaited & trimmed horse, it looks naturally short if that makes sense. Thats all ive done - do I need to do any more?

Beard, whip it right off!! Flat trim ears. You can pull the mane, not too short like a plaited and don't make it look 'pulled' either, if that makes sense!! I tend to pull a bit at the top of the tail too, just enough, so you can see the backend a bit.

Mane not too short on a sec A but it's fine to take the chin off. Should leave nose whiskers but lots of people don't. Tail should be quite long and not "banged". A little discrete trimming at the top of the tail but only to thin it so it lies better when you've had a tail bandage on it - it should not look pulled.
