My section D robin has threw a splint god knows how as hes been on box rest for 2 months with light turnout .... Does anyone know the best treatment for splints? I heard that magnetic boots can reduce them but not sure?

ive tried loads of methods to get rid of splints, DMSO, splintex and laser therapy. Found that best way to get rid of a splint was to turn the horse/pony away to grass

My 4yr old through a splint also while on box rest. He was to get treatment for another bone issue and the vet said that the Tildren would help it, it didnt. I have just left it alone and he had the winter off. It has settled but it is clearly there.

Our welsh cob has thrown a splint at some time during the winter , mind hes a 16hh welsh cob , so its hardly going to make any difference to him or us as hes too big for the m&m classes, I think everyone rekons hes a friesian anyhow. What can you do? nowt. We will bring the great lump out in dressage later this year, once hes worked out how to walk rather than puff up like some destrier going into battle. argh
