Took Petal (P/B) to her first dressage at Muirmill with new jockey and got 3rd and 4th. Well done Amber xx Need to change a few things but now getting the show in the road - must confess we had 3 ponies there and what a relaxing day - know why lots of you like it! Also, 4yr old B mare was a wee star with all other ponies in the working in arena you really would think she had been ridden for years not just a couple of weeks She will do intro test next month! Thanks for all xx

Thanks L ;D Had a few airs above the ground but put Fingal's flash on her and what a difference for the second test - would go back for flat work only as surface not changed and 4ft on each side of the divide between schools is totally waterlogged and unuseable- they have a lot of work to do yet but seem nice people and are having a go You should bring your part bred over the next time - we are going to do the into with Sec B mare!!! xspeak soon x

Interesting post. I was wondering how Muirmill would be. I'm going to try get down ans watch their next unaffiliated dressage, hoping to take Diesel in the spring. I was hoping it would be quiet and relaxed.

Sounds like a good laid-back day EB. What's included in an intro test - I've got a couple of youngsters that could do with something low key to get some experience.

Well done!! ;D Dressage is SO much more civilised as you have a time and is a whole lot less stessfull than showing ;D Bit disappointed though as was under the impression that the surface had been redone

I'm not going to knock Muirmill cos there is/was a lot of work needing to be done and the people doing it are very nice and are really trying hard. I also thought there had been a new surface - it is ok for flat work but I wouldn't jump in it. As for a relaxed quiet atmosphere that was exactly how it was which for youngsters was great - must say though because of the narrowness of the warmup arena due to to waterlogged side 4 animals and it was full We will be going back for the R Telford teach in next week and for the next dressage date . Kermie - intro test is only walk and trot - wee Sec B's canter not established yet so thats a good test for us

I thought it might just be walk and trot - sounds ideal. When is the next dressage? We're there next weekend for the RT clinic too - glad to hear the surface isn't too bad....I still can't decide which pony to take though
