finally summoned up the courage to do some stressage today Khalise has never done a test before and its been a long time since I last did what can only be described as shambolic dressage LOL. I had learnt prelim 13 all week and after a few run throughs at home was feeling slightly happier about going and not making too much a fool of myself. Decided to plait up Khalise, no mean feat as her mane is very long (she is pure bred arab) but as its so fine it looked not too bad, however instead of hiding the fact she is an arab next time we are going as the breed should be long mane flowing ;D She was so good and although she did have a wee look at the white boards and markers did a really nice test for me to get 60.42% with even a 8 in the marks and we ended up 6th in a very big class!!!! I was gobsmacked ! Might give this stressage another go before the spring showing season starts

Well done. You might even forget the showing and stick with the dressage - much more civilised getting times too I never plait Kenco (Welsh Cob) and Ally leaves Dasc au naturale too!

I went to snec yesterday afternoon, by that time it was very quiet and many were leaving , saw the mediums and advanced mediums go, but they were small classes. Its a good place to get to, only wish it could suport a better cafe. Heard a few moans about the music in the areanas, plus the new screens - great arent they ? see your score on screen so dont spend ages waiting about for your sheets to be ready, the guy who put them up was dead chuffed with himself, and so he should be - (mind he was at the time explaing how proud he was of them to a lady who dismissed them as not being able to read them as the print was too small) Sometimes you just cant win!!!
Well done for your having a bash!!! and on an arab. a friend of ours is threatening to bring her welsh cob out next year in dressage - as per WPCS produced , ie au natural !!! should be fun
