Hi i was just wondering if anyone could help me i have done a lot of showing in a V.S.D saddle and won a fair bit so does it matter what time of saddle you ride in at showing?? ;D

A saddle can alter a horses look, so show saddles with a straighter cut are preferable at higher levels, plus sometimes a ride judge has to be taken into consideration, as a saddle can alter the feel of a horses ride!

As long as it shows off your horses shoulder/shape well, and is comfortable for a judge, the make of saddle itself shouldnt matter. IMO

Agree with Lav and KCH on this one - you have to remember even if you are comfortable riding in a wee saddle you need to think it maybe a "big" judge doing the ride section and if they don't fit the saddle then...... You can get ones with knee rolls that are reasonably straight cut now- good luck x
