I feel like I'm *almost* recovered from Crufts now!! We enjoyed a really lovely 4 days there however I have to say that in general the show would be much better without the members of the public there I just wish Crufts would take some sort of decision to put all the trade stands together instead of having them in the way of judging rings for those who are showing in more than one hall
We had a good run of results with nothing (apart from the Russian Black Terrier who was entered in the wrong class!) being placed lower than third ........which was GREAT ;D ;D
Third with the Bernese on Thursday, Friday I wasn't showing in any breed rings however in the breeders teams the German Wirehaired Pointers I was handling for were shortlisted down to the last 8 - from an entry forward of 56 (56 teams of 4 dogs each which took a bit of judging!!!). On to Saturday and a third with the Min Poodle. Sunday was a shade more fruitful with two wins in Gordons - 3rd limit dog, 1st junior dog and 1st open dog & reserve best male (RCC), as well as the Hungarian Vizslas getting a 2nd and a 3rd.
The BIS is an outstanding dog and officially he is now the all time top winning dog in the history of UK dog showing! Quite some achievement!!
Here are a few pics from the 4 days...
Russian Black Terrier "Jack" - entered in wrong class as well as being badly groomed by his groomer bless his he didn't have much hope ...
"Merlin" - 3rd Limit Dog
"Lewis" - 1st Junior Dog
"Callum" - 1st Open Dog & Res Best Dog
