Hi i am new to this forum and pretty new to showing. We have had our Welsh Section a for just over a year. Done a few classes last year got placed in a few and won a couple. Would love advice of anyone who does lead rein or inhand small breeds as want to learn as much as possible for this season. Hoping to do 1st outing on 21st feb. Been trying to keep coat thin but he is still really hairy and didnt want to clip. will this matter. leah thanks in advance!

Dont do LR or Inhand M & M's anymore but personally I wouldnt bother clipping, as long as he/she is well turned out on the day and is in good condition I shouldnt think the judge will penalise him for being hairy. Good luck with your show

hi thanks i think the same but sometimes i see the welshes clipped and assumed they were not meant to be. i would rather not clip him he has a lovely coat always nice and shiny need to get a bit of weight off him as not been worked much with the weather and the arena not being used due to the ground. your horse looks lovely how do you keep the coat like that?
