i'm looking for an instructor (who is willing to travel to my yard, and doesn't have a hissy fit about me not having an arena) to help me in the spring with my youngster and his jumping. Not keen on shouty people (neither is the horse!) but i need someone who will give me a push when i wimp out. flatwork is covered by my excellent RI, but she doesn't do jumping. we are located on deeside. ta  |

Julia Gourley is brill, and she travels as well. Made a big big difference with my J.

Lucy Hardwick although a brilliant dressage instructor does teach jumping as well and she is super duper - highly recommend her.
Sean Mardon is also VERY good, however you may find him a bit shouty - but he makes everything extremely fun and you have a right laugh with him.

Was also going to say Julia, she taught be when i was at Pat's and i learnt so much, flatwork included

i agree about julia and sean  Sean helped me haps with my confidence and on young inexperienced pony and julia has helped me soo much with jumping |

My step dad has been competing and teaching for 30 odd years! Hes doing show jumping clinics at Ladleys at the moment and has had great results with all levels from beginers to people who have lost confidence, and young horses. His lessons are really fun-he doesnt believe in the aim being how high you can jump-like many sj instructors  He doesnt shout-only at me!! Just not sure whether he would fit the travelling into his busy schedule-he also does bowling etc! But could certainly ask |

If you tell me where exactly you are i can ask sean if he would travel. He has got me jumping again after a very long break. Sue Hendry is also very good (she got me jumping 3foot  )and she travels can pass on her number if you would like. |
