Tod and I braved the cold and rain and tootled along to Tower Farm for their jumping night. We havent jumped since March so I wasnt expecting anything. Tod spent the 1st 10 minutes burling around the outdoor school at a rather speeding cob trot scattering ponies in all directions. And after we had a sticky but clear round we went back out into the rain and knuckled down and worked very nicely. Thank goodness I changed his bit to the n/s universal from the snaffle or we may have killed someone.
After a long wait where I thought both me and the pony had become frozen solid did the 1st class the novice/novice. Where we got into the jump off and Tod turned into a show jumping pony by galloping between jumps and jumping off very tight corners. We got 2nd. He is now tucked up nice and warm in his pjs with his tea and Ive thawed out in front of the fire.

could have been worse, I might have been doing stressage. At least I jumped in a pair of thermal jods (black) mountain horse winter boots and a winter jacket plus ear muffs under my riding hat. Cant see the dressage folk letting me be dressed like that lol
