I have noticed some of you have HUGE signatures, please note that other users may have slower internet usage than you and make use of the following information Avatar: The picture that is displayed under your name on the left. This must be no bigger than 90x90pixels The URL required for an avatar is the top line you see under the photo on photobucket. Ie. without any tags. Go to your profile, scroll down to the bit that says Avatar URL and insert the URL in that box. Check what size your photo is (eg. 80x60, 90x85 etc) and insert the correct dimensions into the two boxes underneath - otherwise your avatar will look distorted. 'Personal Text' is the text displayed under the avatar. Signature: You have the option to attach text or pictures to each post you make. On you profile underneath the avatar options you will find a box for your signature. If you want photos displayed in your signature make sure they're no bigger than 150x150pixels. To get them to display you will need to insert the URL with the [ img] tags surrounding it - as you would for posting a photo in a reply. You will therefore need the 3rd line of script from your photobucket photo. If adding multiple pictures to your signature, make sure you do not press enter inbetween each one as that will make them go one on top of the other. lea

In photobucket , you go to edit the picture, then resize, to say 50% or 75 % then click resize, then refresh your forum page to see the result. Hope that helps

Hello Its probably just me being a dumb blonde, but I cant seem to get my pics the right size for my signature! I've got them in photobucket at less than 150 x 150 pixels each but when I put the URL from the 3rd line into the 'signatures' box the photos still appear massive! What am I doing wrong??

Try again, then press f5 on your keyboard, your pooter stores the piccs as the size you uploaded, so pressing f5 refreshes the piccs! You might find doing this, the pictures are the correct size

i thought i would try and illustrate my profile with an avatar - and i have gone through all the steps as outlined, setting up with photobucket etc and i managed to get a photo into a message yesterday - but everytime i try to modify my profile pasting in the URL etc along with the height and width, it just does not work - and when i go back to my profile, it has not retained the url photo details....any suggestions? might try to put in a signature later.....

must be something to do with the url I would think. Can you post what it is? (If it's photobucket then I can't look from work as it's blocked by our IT section but I can look later if no-one has.)
I've just changed your avatar just now to check it wasn't some kind of problem with your actual profile.

there you go - not sure what you did before, but you only need the url address so it shouldn't have the img bit before or after to use it as your avatar.

Can only tell you what I did Sian - I uploaded pic to photobucket - edited the size to avatar size on photobucket, copied the IMG and noted the sizes on here where it asks and that worked.
