I'm hoping to get one to try from Bailey cos she's sending me and K211 some freebies Not sure I the ponies have any bald patches to try it on just now though!

Somebody in 'the other place' (damned if I can remember who) is a big fan of coconut oil for rubs etc. I quite like the sound of my horse smelling like a Bounty...

I've been put off using coconut oil on Comet since discovering he quite likes a Bounty bar, I can just picture him slavering all the oil off himself

I've had to stop using the quistel as it was making her shoulder area grow so much faster than the rest of her she was in danger of having shoulder tufts!

That's a similar worry to what I have with the stuff Bailey has sent me. The new hair will grow in as summer coat and will be much blacker than her current clipped state....but I reckon a patch of darker hair will be better than the current totally bald patch which is about the size of my hand

does that stuff work on rubbed manes as well??
we've got a welsh C who gets terrible sweet itch and she's always got a little dent in her mane where she makes a habit of itching.

The stuff I got for Magic works well on manes. Someone from the Show Ring used it on their horse and it had about 1" of mane after 3 weeks.
Magic's bald patch is completely gone after just 2 weeks, but as I feared it is much darker than the rest of her clipped body......still I would rather it was the wrong colour, than bald!

Kermie - what stuff did you use on the mane - Fred's is very thin and bits missing due to the rugs over winter

My ponies rug has rubbed out a piece of her mane and I'm desperate to get it back in for the highland- typical- had to be a M+m ;D

Kermie - what stuff did you use on the mane - Fred's is very thin and bits missing due to the rugs over winter I didn't use it on her mane, but someone from the Show Ring did with good results. (I used it on Magic's quarters with excellent results). It's called Eqyss Mega-Tek and is available on ebay.....I'm just about to order a bottle too to try on my ponies' fetlocks where the mud has eaten their hair.

Would it work on Comet's legs where he's skinned himself? Need to have nice white legs before RHS rather than white-legs-with-black-patches
