i voted double trailer, but she travels on her own without a partition . i dont have my own trasport, so have to hire a jeep and trailer with driver . that does limit what shows i go to, as it can be a bit pricey. i do sometimes get a lift in friends lorry though if we are going to same thing ;D. deano.

Although if our finances don't improve then we will only have a trailer shortly.....had to declare SORN for lorry today cos the MOT is due soon and we don't see the point in taxing it, until we know if it needs much done!

I'm the same as Bangle. We've been doing up the living since last year. We get by and have had many a happy night staying in it.

non hgv with living (for now) it is for sale can't justify having a nice lorry now - looking for something to take 2 horses with a small living and must be cheep. we put the living in and it is just how I want it so it will be so sad when I sell it - not really trying to sell it but have an ad in a few websites to keep Davie happy!!

We have an old double rice trailer. Has had new floor and breaks and electrics redone so still a good trailer. If we are only doing a ridden or in hand class then we go with 4x4 pulling the trailer, however I do mostley carriage driving which complicates matters somewhat. I have 2 carriages, a newish bellcrown (modern excersise vehicle) which is my everyday cart and used at club drivouts and for cones and dressage and has had a go at driving trials. If we are going to something where I will be driving this then we have a frame on the back of the trailer which takes the bellcrown, we dont have to dismantle it, only take the shafts off to travel it. But I also do the private driving with my Mulliners Dogcart. This is an antique vehicle from ~ 1890 so could not just travel on the frame on the back of the trailer, it is also too big for the back of the trailer so I had to have a trailer built to take the carriage. So if I am doing private driving we have to take two vehicles and trailers. My mum tows the horse in the rice with the 4x4 and I tow the carriage trailer with my dad's van, which luckely has a tow bar ;D The problem with this arrangement is that for doing private driving classes we have two vehicles going to each event and double the deisel but it is the only way to transport the horse and carriage to events without a lorry. One day I would love a lorry but that wont be for a long time I dont think, also if you have trailers then if the 4x4 breaks down I could get loan of a 4x4 from a few places and could still go but if I had a lorry and it broke down we would be stuck !

We have lorry (non-HGV) with living - come and see us at the Highland, all welcome ;D Not the fanciest box in the world, but ti does the job - or when the battery works it does Unfortunately Ammie isn't so keen on it, having always travelled in a trailer before (took him a LONG time to discover how to go in and turn sideaways: but there is no way Flash can travel in a trailer afer previous accidents.

We have gone back to a trailer. Had a lorry, but just felt we weren't using it enough to justify having it.
I miss the lorry, we may well go back to one. We bought a new IW 510, I hated it and soon got rid, now using a new IW livestock trailer and getting on a lot better with it.

Just managed to buy a young 510R Ifor as there are so few large trailers in NE fife to hire. Due to this the other half has got me hire and reward insurance so I can hire it out when Im not using it. Only prob now is selling the old Rice which needs alot of work done to it!!!!! Would love a lorry but could not justify the cost and would have to get rid of my beloved old Discovery.
