Last year I bought my daughter her first pony, a 121cm part bred welsh show pony who is ultimately a first ridden pony (he qualified RIHS on his first time out and remained unbeaten that season) but he is also schooled as a lead rein.
We are starting to enter shows with him And I just wondered how people prefer to school their lead rein ponys. Do you prefer to long rein a lot, work in hand mostly, lunge a lot or simply school With a rider on board.

No idea..... never had one.......
I would prefer to see a competent child jockey do a little with them rather than too much work by an adult. I guess that leaves you with lunge and long lining
