My girls haven't ridden their ponies since about November. Doesn't do ours any harm having an extended holiday over the winter.

I have still managed to ride Harry in full work right through the winter and been to few dressage competitions Nothing stops us! (and we only have outdoor school too - theres something refreshing about riding in the rain, sleet and snow!!)

I had a lovely hack in the sunshine on Monday afternoon with my mare. I hadn't ridden for about a month and hoped that was the start of her (and my) fitness programme for this year. However, the snow arrived on Tuesday and it has been pretty dire since then. Hopeful for tomorrow and/or the weekend though. Our first showing show in in just over nine weeks time ...

my big bay wb had two months off in Oct/Nov while I was prepping my three year old for the loose jumping, she then had two months off. but I now have them both in work as they both were getting bored and cheeky. I ride every day come rain, hail, sun (not that we see that much) but I really need to ride for my own wellbeing and state of mind, otherwise I'm crabit as sin lol
