Thoroughbreds ... I work with them and then kind of adopt them when their racing days are over ... Need to stop doing that! It's a rather expensive addiction!

I would appear to accumulate gloves. I must have at least 20 pairs of them and carry umpteen pairs with me in the lorry every time I go anywhere. If I am showing, then I need my brown leather gloves for in hand, plus a spare pair of cotton/leather ones, plus my OH's gloves - just in case he wants to wear them and if he doesn't then they are another spare pair for me. And for ridden showing, I have either dark brown or light brown riding gloves, depending on which colour tweed I am wearing. For dressage I wear my white or cream ones, depending on the colour of my breeches. For lessons away from home, I have smart black ones and for riding at home, I have about four pairs of Mountain Horse gloves in various state of repair and of various ages. Then I have my mucking out neoprene gloves and several pairs of fleecy ones for winter, some thick and some lighter weight. I love my latest purchase, Mark Todd winter gloves, but haven't used them yet as I don't want to get them dirty. Funnily enough, when I am not riding or doing the horses, I hardly ever wear gloves; I only have about two pairs of "non-horsey" ones.
