Hi All I'm new here and new to showing so please excuse me if I ask something a bit daft! I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of the best place to find 2013 show dates for in hand classes in the aberdeenshire area? I have a youngster that I'm keen to get out and about with and get her seeing new things, so looking for nothing too serious, nice friendly shows I can take her too. Any info much appreciated. Many thanks

Hi there - have a look at the showing results and show threads on this forum and that will give you a start ;D also riding club websites, agricultural societies are worth a nosey as well.

There is info about shows in the members' area of the board - I think you need to have made 20 posts and then you become a full member. If you would like a schedule for Strathbogie Farmer Club Show at Knock Farm, near Huntly on 25th May just send me a pm with your email address

Hi there! The North of Scotland Welsh Pony & Cob Association run three shows a year, at Fountian EC. We have a range of classes, not just for Welshies!! The dates are on our website (temporary web address at the moment) websd-northofscotlandwpcacom.webs.com/events and we hope to have our Spring Schedule out soon!

Hi Spookywood, it depends on what type of youngster you have? Winter woolies has a general youngstock class and some good coloured young stock classes, Cabin have a nice show which is in April, then Waulkmill have a fantastic show which has a lot of different classes for all types It is great getting the young stock out and about.
