Does anyone know of any farriers in the Aberdeenshire area taking on new customers ?
This is for a pal in the New Pitsligo area.
Thanks.

After being dumped by my usually very good farrier after two and half years and not even being told??? I have also been on the hunt for a farrier, Sam Thomson who is coming up every so often is on 07980116969 And Graham Miller who only does trims is on 01466780406. Hope your friend has some joy, i called fifteen farriers and these were the only two who bothered to get back in touch! xx

We have used Chris Robinson since we moved heer and have never had a problem, he is here every week with out fail and if he can't make it then he always calls and arranges another day that week as he always here on a Friday. I know he is taking on horses but only well behaved ones as his wife is very very ill.

There is a def problem with farriers up here. I thought it had maybe changed in the last few years but appears not. I still remember in 2005 it tool SEVEN months for me to find a farrier - and I had to move to a yard just to get one.

My farrier travels up North weekly, Im not sure what area he covers but if you pm me I can give you his number and he is worth a call. He is reliable and extremely helpful and generous with advice.

I can't fault Alex Sharman (and not just because he's now related to me..). Always turms up on time, will make the effort to get to you when you need him (has always done this, again not just because related!), and does a fantastic job. Not sure if he travels to new pitsligo but worth asking

Gight, I agree he's our farrier and he's a good lad. Timekeeping is spot on!
You must be related now due to the recent wedding? I don't suppose anybody gave him a good luck horse shoe..I'm sure he'd appreciate that!
