Does this rule affect unaffiliated stressage too?

Only affiliated I think. Mum (judge) says, tan would be perfectly acceptable. Although shove a pair of cheap white cotton ones in the tack box incase you were to come across a jobsworthy tack steward

i think its unaffiliated as well, most unaffiliated comps are run under british dressage rules. Still waiting on my white gloves coming ordered them ages ago still not got them

Ach, I'm annoyed that they have stipulated white, cream or beige as I have seen some really nice blingy pastel coloured stocks and was going to wear matching gloves

O white gloves, very practical not! Hopefully unaffiliated will stay flexible on this but it'll prob depend on the level of comp. I can see RC areas enforcing the rule for example. Anyone in Strathclyde dressage group, wonder if they'll be insisting for their comps/members?

I have been doing unaff since new rule but just bought white gloves, these shows are usually run to bd rules anyway. Very impractical to keep white though but hey ho!

Please tell me WHY you need to use light coloured gloves, are the judges unable to see your hands if they are clad in black or brown, and if so , does that mean all horses will be required to either have white socks or wear white boots to let the judges see their legs in future - LOL
